Who We Are

Age UK Hertfordshire is an independent local charity, and our mission is to support older people by delivering services that help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

What We Do

Our services include:

• Information & Advice – including Lasting Powers of Attorney

• Digital Inclusion - helping older people to be more connected

• Lunch Clubs and Day Centres – for a nutritious meal and social activities

• A Befriending Service – for those experiencing loneliness and isolation

• A Telephone Befriending Service – for those who want to stay connected

• A confidential, emotional support line – for those experiencing bereavement or struggling with health issues • Help in the Home and Carers’ Break Service - offering domestic support and carer respite • A Community Dementia Service, Hertswise - supporting those living with dementia and their carers

• Hospital & Community Navigation Service - providing practical support and connecting people coming out of hospital or at risk of health decline with social support

• Nutrition and Dietetics Service - supporting people experiencing malnutrition
