One of the significant areas of support that W3RT CVS has provided over the last few years is supporting individuals with establishing new community organisations. For some people, the paperwork around this can be complex and confusing so our support can be incredibly beneficial to them.

We were recently contacted by the founder of a community group called Good Vibrations who are a not for profit group, which runs a community space out of Carpenters Park Community Hall on a weekly basis between 1:30pm and 4pm. In addition to a community space, they also repair donated musical instruments for people to play and learn on.

With an idea for the CIC, the team behind Good Vibrations needed help with the paperwork to allow them to apply to become a CIC. As a result and after several meetings, we:

  • Supported the directors of Good Vibrations to complete the forms and ensure that they would meet the criteria to become a CIC.
  • Explore options for bank accounts, insurance and policies so that once established they can be in a position to begin to apply for funding
  • Liaise with Companies House and the CIC regulator with any questions that they may have had about the CIC.

Due to this support and guidance, we were delighted to inform the team behind Good Vibrations that their CIC was incorporated, and they are now able to develop their CIC in a more sustainable manner. Thanking W3RT CVS for their support, Ryan White, founder of the CIC said that ‘that W3RT CVS’ support was crucial in the establishment of Good Vibrations as a CIC.”  In addition, he added that ‘Good Vibrations were looking forward to working in partnership with W3RT CVS to allow them to support the community in and around Carpenters Park’.

We look forward to working with Good Vibrations over the coming months, helping them to continue to support the local community in Carpenters Park. You can find out more about them by visiting their website here
