Throughout 2021, W3RT CVS has been working with both Watford Borough and Three Rivers District Councils to ensure that voluntary sector organisations continue to receive funding to ensure that our communities are supported through the pandemic.
With the year almost coming to an end, we wanted to highlight the different funds we have managed throughout and the recipients of the funding. We would also like to thank both Watford and Three Rivers Councils for making this funding available for the local voluntary sector and we know how appreciative the local voluntary sector is of your ongoing support.

In 2021, W3RT CVS managed the following funds for which voluntary sector organisations could apply to for funding. The amount of funding provided from each funding is listed also.

Detailed below is a breakdown of each individual fund that we have managed, a list of each of the recipients, and the amount of funding provided, broken down from each of the districts they are in.
W3RT Community Fund (Covid Appeal)
The W3RT Community Fund was open for all organisations in Watford and Three Rivers to apply to allow them to continue to support their beneficiaries during the pandemic. The majority of the funding from this fund was provided in 2020 and the money from this fund was raised through the Watford Helps Covid19 Appeal.
This year, four organisations listed below received funding from this fund with £2,404 being awarded for projects in Watford and £3,653 being awarded for projects in Three Rivers. The organisations that received funding are:

- Herts Schools Outreach (HSO)
- Home Start
- Little Grove CIC
Charity/Charitable Support Grant
The Charity/Charitable Support Grant has been provided by Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council to support charitable organisations that have either closed or have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim is to support locally-based charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) to resume, develop or innovate their business operations.
In Watford, £61,508.00 has been awarded and in Three Rivers, £29,353.50 has been awarded. The organisations that received funding are:

Covid Community Grants Fund
The funding from the Covid Community Grants Fund has been provided to allow organisations to cover the costs of projects that would help with the communities’ recovery from the pandemic. In Watford, £96,026.00 has been awarded and in Three Rivers, £66,456.00 has been awarded. The organisations that received funding are:

Three Rivers District Council Sustainability Fund
The Three Rivers Sustainability Fund is exclusively for organisations whose projects/activities support the communities in Three Rivers area, and help with the climate change crisis. The activities that were funded aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals or were in pursuit of sustainability solutions, to help combat the challenges faced by Covid-19. In total, £9,067.80 has been awarded from this fund to the following organisations:

- Community Learning Partnership
- Friends of the Earth
- Impactful Governance
- Mill End Community Centre
- One Vision
- Soil Association Land Trust
Watford Borough Council Winter Grant Scheme
Watford Borough Councils Winter Grant Scheme provided funding to local voluntary organisations that were providing food and groceries to their communities. In total, £6,000 was awarded to the following organisations:
- New Hope
- Small Acts of Kindness
- Watford/Three Rivers Refugee Partnership
Looking towards 2022, funding is still available from the Charity/Charitable Support Grant, the Covid Community Grant Fund and the Three Rivers Sustainability Fund.
