As we enter 2025, we are fully aware that funding remains a significant challenge formany of the local organisations in Watford. As a result, we are delighted to announce that the Mayor's Small Grants Fund in Watford will reopen 9am on Monday 3rd February 2025. The Mayor's Small Grants Fund provides voluntary and community organisations the opportunity to apply for a grant, which can help towards:
- Hosting a one-off community event
- The running of a green/sustainable initiative that supports our commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the borough.
- The purchase of items of equipment
On the fund, Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor said that 'One of the great things about my job is being able to meet so many of our wonderful community and voluntary groups. These groups do so much for our town, and whether it be small or big, it makes a real difference to people’s lives. What always strikes me is the dedication and commitment to everyone involved in our voluntary sector and their willingness to go the extra mile to help people.'
