W3RT’s Community Wellbeing Team embarked on another journey to create an inclusive and engaging Easter event. The primary goal was to provide members with the opportunity to come together, foster meaningful connections, and celebrate the spirit of Easter in a supportive and welcoming environment.
2024 Easter Extravaganza was held at the Holywell Community Centre, where Getting Together, ASCEND and Community Wellbeing Volunteers were invited.
The Community Wellbeing Team organised a superb event, where the Holywell Community Centre main hall was filled with fresh flowers, balloons and foil wrapped chocolate eggs.
On arrival our members were served with a hot drink and biscuits whilst chatting with friends and getting comfortable. There was an Easter Bonnet competition and an Easter quiz for the members to enjoy and to get their minds active.
Once the activities had concluded, it was time for music from Denis Cook our entertainer, and to get our members up to dance. The dance floor was full, with members enjoying the music and a sing along. Our members danced, laughed, and spent valuable time with many friends old and new.
Following the event, feedback was taken from the attendees to gather insights and assess satisfaction levels.

The event was a joyous celebration, with members revelling in the lively atmosphere as they danced and sang along to the music. Laughter and smile filled the air as the members swayed to the rhythm. The melodies and cheerful tunes created an irresistible urge to join in, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. Members reminisced and connected through shared songs, making the occasion a memorable and heart warming gathering.
By prioritising inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration, our Community Wellbeing Team was able to create a memorable experience that brought members together, strengthened social bonds, and enriched the fabric of the community. Moving forward, we remain committed to building on this momentum and continuing to serve as a beacon of connection and support for all members.
