As a result of feedback from partners and colleagues, Hertfordshire County Council created guidance to support organisations like yours that would like to engage asylum seekers in volunteering opportunities. 

To help with the dissemination of this information, we are hosting an information workshop on the 6th June 2024 at 10am for local voluntary organisations interested in engaging asylum seekers and refugees to find out more and ask any questions you may have. 

At the workshop, you will:

• Be provided with the definitions of asylum seekers and refugees and the legal guidance involved in engaging those groups in volunteering
• Be introduced some of the common challenges of engaging asylum seekers and refugees and suitable solutions for them
• Be given an opportunity to ask the W3RT CVS team any questions and to provide feedback on the guidance document created by Hertfordshire County Council.
