WMYC Mount Snowdon Sponsored Mountain Climb
WMYC will be an interactive space offering a wide range of educational and recreational activities to people of all ages and backgrounds. We are designing a state-of-the-art facility to provide these services. However, our vision is not limited to bricks and mortar. WMYCT will continue to be responsible for the facility once it is complete. With this in mind, we are already designing services and activities to be implemented. We hope that our endeavours will promote togetherness within Watford and help build bridges between various community groups. By providing a safe environment where young people can have fun and learn, the centre will help shape the future of Watford while fulfilling the needs of the present.
WMYC runs various fundraising activities presently. The aim of these activities is to raise awareness, build cohesion and togetherness with the community of Watford and beyond, whilst also raising vital funds to help with the construction of the WMYC building, which is currently being built on Tolpits Lane, Watford.
The current WMYC appeal is a sponsored mountain climb of Mount Snowdon in Wales. This climb will commence on Saturday 16th July 2022 and will be a tough physical challenge for those participating. A group of approximately 20 brave souls of mixed abilities will battle the elements and make the climb.
